Estate Sale - Make an Offer! Surviving Family are not Boaters!
Constructed at the very reputable Snug Harbor Boatworks in Madeira, Florida. She was built to the highest standards of the day and still will turn heads in any port. Shipped to the West Coast in 2013 and berthed in the Puget Sound the Kaufman 46 is a rare find. Sadly she is an estate sale and we do not have a lengthy list of details from her Skipper. She was a very competitive racer/cruiser in the Great Lakes region for most of her life and has a reasonable sail complement as well as a Harken #3 roller furling unit.
She sports a "yacht finished" interior with 6'6" headroom in the main salon, hot pressurized water system, many usable electronics including an Autohelm 5000 autopilot. This rare to the market could easily function as a fast cruiser for the right person(s) or still be raced with her Lake Michigan PHRF of 54!! Airex Cored Hull with Vinylester Resin and Unidirectional Glass Construction.
The Kaufman is currently in the Everett work yard in dry storage.
There is nothing comparable on the market in this price range for an ocean-capable, fast sailing yacht with an excellent pedigree.
